Registrations for 2018

Registration for the 2018 winter competition are now OPEN. 

ALL REGISTRATIONS MUST BE DONE ON-LINE THROUGH   www.myfootballclub.com.au ONLY

Registration Day: Saturday, 3rd February (9 AM – 11 AM).

Venue: George Thornton Reserve Community Center

Redbacks would like to welcome you all back for another season of soccer. Registrations for seniors are now open and will close on 24/02/2018. (late fees will apply after this date).

2018 Active Kids Rebate Scheme:

The NSW Government has introduced the Active Kids Rebate Scheme. Each child is eligible for $100 rebate from the NSW Government from 31st January 2018 to use to pay for sports registrations. Redbacks FC will be part of this scheme and the $100 rebate can be applied to your registration fee for 2018.

Now with the Active Kids Rebate Scheme $100 rebate, this would make playing for the mighty Redbacks one of the best value sports you could find!

Registrations will open for minis and juniors this year from 31/01/2018. Please see below details to get you under way:

  1. Parent applies for voucher via Service NSW Portal
  2. Player logs in and registers via myfootballclub.com.au
  3. At invoice screen, parent must enter their voucher code into the available field
  4. Upon entry of a valid code, the system will automatically deduct $100 off the invoice total.
  5. Service NSW will attribute the voucher code against the club.

Should you have any questions we will be having a registration day on 3rd February (9am-11am). where we will be able to answer any questions, you may have.

Uniforms will also be available to purchase on the day. If you don’t already, remember to grab one the new Redbacks FC Hats on the day!!!

Player Information for 2017

Please note: Women who wish to play in the North West Sydney Women’s Football (NWSWF) competition need to select Redbacks Women’s FC – not Gladesville Hornsby Football Association (GHFA)

For all the information regarding playing in the Girls Only Competition with NWSWF please contact Mick Reynolds on 0417 231 440. Ages are from U6 to All Age and all games are played on a Sunday in the NWSWF competition.

Dates

Registration day was held on Saturday 3rd February, 9am – 11am, at George Thornton Reserve Community Center. 

NB: Pre-season trial games are often organised with short notice on weekends during March. Managers will inform teams when such games have been organised.

 

Photographs for Player ID Cards

Photos are valid for 3 years for juniors and 5 years for seniors. If you had your digital photo taken within this time it will not need to be updated this year.

Team Allocation – U6 & U7’s

Mini’s Gala Night (Under 6 / 7) TBC

Parents will be advised via email or phone of the team their child has been allocated to, and initial training dates. Weekly training commences in March, at a time suitable for the individual team coaches.

Grading & Team Allocations – U8’s

U8’s Small Sided Games will play a 7v7 format in 2018. The top team will be graded, whilst all other teams will be ranked according to their approximate skills, so that teams play similar standard teams during the season.

All U8 players need to attend these sessions so that team allocations can be finalised efficiently.

Grading – Juniors – U8 to U17

The Club will grade teams in 2018 over a 2 week period, commencing mid February 2018. The exact dates and times will be advised over the coming weeks.  The Grading Committee will grade players based on performance in group training sessions held for each age division. Training

Team training times will be decided by agreement between coaches and players and confirmed by the Coach / Manager once a time and field has been booked with the Club.

Coaches and Managers

Every team requires a coach and a manager. Teams are responsible for filling these positions and advising the registrar (Parents usually fill these roles in the Mini and Junior divisions). Considerable training and support is on offer for our coaches so even individuals with no prior knowledge or experience are encouraged to volunteer to fill this extremely rewarding role.

Managers are also provided with easy to use instruction manuals and excellent support from Co-ordinators, so you have nothing to fear when stepping up to play your part in yours or your child’s football team.
